The specifics of what you are selling do not matter. It doesn’t matter if you are marketing online or offline. If you are chasing success as an affiliate, understanding buyer psychology is imperative.

This can be summed up as simply the psychological mindset of the buyer. Once they have found a product that is of interest, the potential buyer will choose between three possible options. They will decide to purchase the product, not purchase it or delay their decision. Let us now look further at these three categories of people.

There is no need to chase the group of people that did not want the product. They have made their mind up, no problem, move on to the next person. Assuming your product is as good as you said, you won’t have to worry anymore about the group of buyers.

The final category are those potential buyers who are yet to make a final decision. This is usually because they want more information before deciding. They want to be satisfied that your product will be worth the money.

Google is generally the first place that people will go to for more research. Most likely they will check out the first few search results and see if the information stacks up. This is usually the extent of people’s research.

In regards to network marketing, when you are the product, buyer psychology is still the same. Your potential business partner will research your name in google.

It is important that you control the top spots in google. This gives you the best chance of converting these people into customer. Even better, dominate the first few pages. This tells the searcher something about you. You are serious, you have commitment and you are capable.

To take this technique to the next level, these pages about you should be totally professional in their presentation. Videos should form an integral part of you strategy. It is almost expected, in this day and age, that online business people have a presence on youtube. Marketing yourself through a video is much easier than through written words.

Some sites are more likely to feature high in google. You need to know the right profiles to set up, in the right way, to attract the right business partners.
