Many distributors who start investigating the world of online lead generation are sometimes shocked to find that their upline is totally against them doing it.

If you think about it for a moment it does not really seem to make much sense for them to discourage you from doing something that will probably result in you earning much money in you MLM and that of course will make them more money.

It kind of makes you wonder, why they are so against it?

There are actually some pretty good reasons.

In plain terms the fear the “Shift” or “evolution” that they know will soon occur.

What I am referring to here is that the process of learning a powerful new skill will cause a fundamental change in how you view your business model.

In particular because of the process of generating affiliate marketing commissions.

Maybe its better referred to simply a shift in belief.

You see in the world of traditional MLM marketing we go out and spend our time branding the company, the “Mother Ship” so to speak, as the end all be all of all opportunities.

Humm.. but is that really true?

Let me tell you what I mean by the shift or evolution.

Once a MLM’er becomes involved in online marketing they quickly learn that you don’t brand the company, or even lead with your company, rather you brand yourself.

So you no longer lead with or showcase your primary MLM opportunity.

Now of course the objective is the same which is to sponsor people into your MLM but now you are leading with a online marketing system first and then bring in your company later once you have built some rapport with your prospect.

Your marketing process now also includes what is called affiliate offers. This is where you share information with your prospects about several great training or marketing tools that you are probably already using and if they buy any of them it generates a commission to you.

As you continue your journey into online marketing, you find that you can get a lot of great leads from the internet, sponsor a lot of those leads into your MLM company, and even make money off of the prospects who did not join you by using affiliate offers.

Now you’re trapped, because you now can see that the huge opportunity is not your company but rather the power is in learning how to market.

Now the ultimate shift occurs because you are receiving checks from several companies each month and one day it just kind of hits you…… the ah ha moment!

You are now very aware that the Network Marketing company you are promoting is actually just one more affiliate income channel out of many and you never see it quite the same ever again.

Its like you just woke up…

Before, when we showcased only our MLM company, it became of course the key factor in our success formula. Our job was to tell the world.

The moment you learn that with marketing skill you can bring people into any MLM…..

Its like someone turned on the light!

So its pretty clear why some MLM leaders don’t trust or like the MLM online marketing model. When you are empowered, you are no longer a blind follower.

Even worse than that, you are no longer a blind follower that realizes you could be successful with any company.

The marketing has always been the most powerful part of the equation and the probably missing piece of your success puzzle.
