Three Important Strategies To Develop Internet Marketing Prosperity

What is the real secret to making a living from Internet Marketing? You are no doubt constantly bombarded by pitches for the newest, can’t fail, only two hours per week, even a 12 year old can do it, get rich quick schemes. You know in your heart that they really don’t work but the Guru’s have a compelling tale to tell, and if you just purchase their latest product the secret will be revealed. This product will only be available for a limited time and only for a select few ( you, and a few thousand others), so act fast. You won’t have to work very hard at all because they have cracked the code to making millions, and will share it with you for only 47 dollars, because they care. Then they will disappear, only to turn up again when they have another ‘secret’ to share with you. So to get back to the original question, are there really secret techniques that will allow you to make easy money on the Internet?

What is not a secret is that the vast majority of the products and services offered by the Gurus are nothing but repackaged versions of the same old thing. After all, how many ‘Clickbank Secrets’ are there, anyways? Enough for about 200 different products I guess. The truth is that most of the money these Gurus show you that they make comes from the sales of the actual products, and not from using the techniques taught in the courses that they sell. Of course there are exceptions, and we will get to those in a bit, but first I would like to lay out what I believe are a few real secrets to finding success online

Secret Number One

There are no real secrets. The angst-causing search for the Holy Grail is counterproductive and a waste of energy. The truth is that everything you need to succeed is readily available online and many times the information is free. The real trick, or secret, is to be able to sort through all the misinformation and dead ends out there and keep only the gold. This, of course, is far easier said than done, especially when you are just starting out, and feeling like a kid in a candy store. Which leads into secret number two.

Secret Number Two

Focus, focus, focus! One of my online mentors, Kelly Felix, of Rich Jerk fame, hammered this one into my thick scull. You begin this step by unsubscribing to every Guru’s newsletter or email list. Just hit the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email- you can do it, and it will feel good! You will never get anywhere if you are constantly exposed to new information and charging off in new directions. You know that you already have enough courses and ebooks cluttering your hard drive. Quit hanging out on those forums too. Do your research by all means, but find one teacher or method to focus on and stick with it. Which brings us to our third success secret.

Secret Number Three

Find a good mentor. This is the big secret. Behind virtually every successful Internet marketer you will find a mentor, or coach. This is because the most surefire, and easiest path to success is to follow the footsteps of someone who has already been there, and done that. For instance, I mentioned one of my mentors, Kelly Felix.
